Tax Diary Dates - August 2008

1 August 2008
Due date for corporation tax due for the year ended 31 October 2007.

19 August 2008
If you pay your PAYE and NIC deductions on a monthly basis, the due date for the month ended 5 August 2008. (If you pay your tax electronically, the due date is 22 August 2008).

31 August 2008
Final date for submission of Self Assessment Tax Return Questionnaires to Quay. We cannot guarantee that your Tax Return will be completed in time to meet the 31 January filing date if your Questionnaire is submitted after this date.

1 September 2008

19 September 2008

Tax Diary Dates - October 2008

1 October 2008
Due date for corporation tax due for the year ended 31 December 2007.

5 October 2008
If HMRC have not issued a Tax Return to you, last date for notification of any new sources of income for the year ended 5 April 2008.

19 October 2008
Due date for payment of PAYE and NIC deductions for the month/quarter ended 5 October 2008. (If you pay your tax electronically, the due date is 22 October 2008.)

31 October 2008
Deadline for manual submission of 2007/08 Tax Return using HMRC's pre-printed form. (If you make an online submission the deadline is 31 January 2009.)

A New Approach to Use of Home Expense Claims

Historically a contractors company has accounted for the reimbursement of personal costs incurred by the contractor for providing his home as office accommodation (use of home as office expenses).
